Gerd Makes a Comeback!!!

Chapter 30 Gerd Returns   The witches needed time to plan Alice’s retrieval trip. They were limited on the interval in which they could get Gerd and have her there and ready to go before Fenrir ripped through time and space and landed on their doorsteps. He would destroy them all within the first second of arriving. He had no use of witches. He had all the power he needed to be handed down to him by the God’s. They only proved a nuisance to him before because they try to save humanity, which Fenrir felt needed to be dispensed with. Alice was calm. She sat at the counter as they discussed her as if she was not present. She ate some gingerbread cookies sitting on Melanie’s counter and took deep breaths. Even if this was her end, she knew it was her purpose. Perhaps one day another venture like this would be Lucious destiny too. Another howl shattered the room, but this one sounded close. Fenrir was trying to come through right now! “Alice, Alice, ” they all said. She just g

Chapter 29: Battle Preparations

Chapter 29 Battle Preparations  Photo by Pixabay.com Darkness was lurking in shadows further. The shadows were seen creeping behind the Kellyn’s every corner. They would feel like they were being haunted and hunted at the same time. They had talked to the other witch’s whose help they were enlisting and they all concurred that the shadows were running rampant. The entire witch crew had used protection spells on each other and therefore the shadows did not try to attack anyone. They could try to inhibit the witch’s soul and take possession of them and use them for darkness, but the witches protected each other from this. They walked in pairs now wherever they went. Some had moved in with others temporarily so that no witch was left alone. Melanie knew her birdcage was the portal to the dark shadows coming through, but she had no idea, nor did her mom, on how to seal it shut. One witch suggested they get rid of it, but Melanie knew no matter where it was, it was the portal.

So here are the next two chapters of Melanie's adventure. This is the original rough draft so keep that in mind. Melanie has a lot to do with Norse tales and I try to keep her magic light and fun. I hope you enjoy these chapters as much as you all have enjoyed the previous ones. Her adventure continues!! Chapter 27 Melanie went to pick Lucious up from school. He ran into her arms. He resembled his father so much. She held him tight and he wiggled saying “Mom let go!” Melanie snuggled tighter, tickled him, and put him back down. She loved holding him, but he was going to be four soon and he said he was getting too old for that. On the walk home, Lucious told her all about his day. He told her about art and music. She loved that he loved music like his dad did. He bounded into their home and he noticed all the mistletoe. He did not remember seeing it from last year so she explained what it was for. He began to run from one doorway to another yelling “Catch me and

Chapter 26 Police & Relationships  Photo by Pixabay.com At the police station, Melanie gave all the details of her relationship, minus her being a witch and of their break up. She told the police how he tried to get her back, but she declined, and at the time he seemed ok with that. She thought it was a normal break up. The cops told her they had searched his apartment and there were photos of her all over the walls. He had carved her name into his arm too. They knew he was the stalker but needed proof. Melanie produced a video of her apartment being ramshackle and James doing it. She had viewed the tape first in case the birdcage moved, Griffin turned into a griffin, or any other magic was taking place. All was quiet on the whole video until James busted in her door and destroyed her home. Amazingly he left his deceased best friends items alone, though he did steal his guitar. Melanie was ok with this as she was never going to be a rock star playing guitar . She hones
